Each teacher received a certificate, welcomed their new students, and celebrated the beginning of their teaching journey. 🚑Equipped to Protect: Parkland Hospital steps up for our students

Our school nurses play an essential role in keeping our students healthy, safe, and ready to learn. From assessing injuries and managing illnesses to responding to emergencies, our nurses rely on a variety of medical supplies and equipment, including stethoscopes, blood pressure cuffs, thermometers, first-aid and wound-care supplies, personal protective equipment, AEDs, and emergency medications.

This year, Parkland Hospital has graciously helped strengthen our nurses’ emergency preparedness by donating eight adult and eight pediatric AMBU bags. These resuscitation bags are an important piece of emergency equipment and provide our nurses with an additional tool to respond quickly when a student needs immediate respiratory support.

We are incredibly grateful to Parkland Hospital for their generosity and continued commitment to supporting the health and safety of our students. Thank you for helping equip our school nurses with the tools they need to provide the best possible care!💙🩺💛🖤

The wait is finally over—tomorrow is DAY ONE! 🎉

We are so excited to welcome our students back into the classrooms. To make sure tomorrow morning runs smoothly without any missing shoes or last-minute panics, run through this quick Final Night Checklist before heading to bed tonight!

🎒 Pack the Backpack: Double-check that all required supplies, folder paperwork, and emergency contact details are inside.

🔋 Charge Up Devices: Plug in school-issued Chromebooks, iPads, or laptops so they are at 100% battery tomorrow morning.

👗 Lay Out Clothes: Pick out the Day 1 outfit, shoes, and socks tonight to save precious time in the morning!

🥪 Prep Lunch: If you plan to bring your lunch, freeze or pack ice packs, and set out non-perishable snacks.

⏰ Set Those Alarms: Double-check morning wake-up alarms (and maybe set a backup just in case!).

📸 Charge the Camera Phone: Make sure your phone is charged for those classic first-day-of-school front porch photos!

😴 Early Bedtime: Get a solid night’s sleep. Big energy is needed for Day 1!
