Gretchen Hill

Director of Special Services

Ms. Gretchen Hill assumed the role of Director of Special Services for the Farmington R7 School District in July 2023. She received her Bachelor of Education from Southeast MO State University. She began her career in education as a jr. high and high school social studies teacher at West St. Francois County School District. Ms. Hill has a Master’s degree in Counseling and Educational Leadership and a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership.

She has worked in the Southern Reynolds County R-II, Iron County C-4, and Puxico R8 school districts as a teacher, curriculum coordinator, counselor, and building principal. Additionally, Ms. Hill has assumed the roles of McKinney Vento coordinator, district assessment coordinator, and federal programs coordinator. Through these leadership roles, Ms. Hill has diverse experience supporting and providing oversight for special education by regularly serving as LEA, monitoring student progress, interpreting evaluation data, and orchestrating transition services. She conducted functional behavior assessments and developed behavior plans. She coordinated the implementation of multi-tiered systems of support to ensure that every student receives tailored interventions to thrive academically and socially. As Director of Special Services, Ms. Hill remains dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational environment where all students can reach their full potential. Her unwavering commitment to student success is and will always be her focus as an educator.
