As the new Superintendent of Farmington R-7 School District for the 2023-24 school year, Dr. Kyle Gibbs brings a wealth of experience and a profound dedication to education. Raised on a farm near Viburnum, Missouri, he learned the value of hard work and the importance of education early on. He holds a dual major in elementary and special education from Evangel University and advanced degrees in educational administration and leadership from Southwest Baptist University.
During his 25-year career in Missouri’s educational system, he has served in various capacities, including teacher, assistant principal, and principal across different school levels. His notable achievements include transforming a low-performing school into a 2019 Exemplary PLC school recognized for its STEAM integration during his tenure as a principal in the Hannibal School District. Before joining Farmington R-7, he was the Superintendent at Crawford County R-1 School District in Bourbon, MO, where he spearheaded the opening of a cutting-edge science, agriculture, and STEM facility.
Recognized as the 2022 Missouri Association of School Administrators Outstanding Emerging Superintendent for the South Central region, he has served as an adjunct professor and consultant specializing in school strategic planning. He is committed to ensuring that Farmington R-7 remains a model of excellence, embodying his vision of education as a calling to serve and lead with foresight and integrity.
