Meet Kylie Peery!
Kylie Peery is the Kitchen Manager at Farmington Middle School, and her heart for students shines through every tray she serves. A Bismarck native, Kylie brings warmth, humor, and care to her work and to her coworkers, whom she now calls friends.
Before joining the district, Kylie worked as a commercial painter; however, she has always been creative. Her family has a fun Christmas tradition where they reuse gift boxes and label them with different names each year… then laugh as they read off the history of who had it before!
At home, Kylie enjoys four-wheeling, camping, and spending time with her family, including three dogs and a cat.
What keeps her going? “We work in this system for the kids. Every position—from the cafeteria to the superintendent—holds a special role in each student’s life. I want to be a safe person they can count on.”

Thank you to everyone who participated in our first Math Academy Session! You brought the energy, ideas, and collaboration that made it a success.
Together, we explored new instructional practices, launched strategies to build positive math classrooms, and practiced routines to strengthen number sense and fluency across the district.
This is just the beginning of igniting our passion for math. We can’t wait to see these routines in action as we build consistency, confidence, and curiosity in every classroom.

Congratulations to Black Knight Softball on their recent second-place finish at the North County Softball Tournament. The team defeated Jefferson and Fox, and lost to Rolla in the Championship game. Go Knights!
🎉 Today was a special day at Truman Learning Center! We celebrated the grand opening of our brand-new, ADA-accessible playground with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Former principal Mrs. Kim Berry, who wrote the grant for the equipment, joined current principal Mrs. Jackie Watson, our dedicated maintenance staff, Mr. Josh Hoehn (Director of Operations), Dr. Gibbs, and Mrs. Shana Turner (Assistant Superintendent) to mark the occasion.
Our Pre-K students were the first to enjoy this inclusive new space, one that ensures every child has the opportunity to play, learn, and grow together. 💛🖤#Ignite #TheKnightWay

We will be celebrating the 35-year reunion of the 1990 State Semifinal Football Team. We will bring the team (players and coaches) out for pregame recognition on October 3, 2025. Great things were happening at Farmington Middle School this week!
From building vocabulary and strengthening inferencing skills to exploring convection currents and diving into the engineering & design process, our students were actively engaged in hands-on learning.

What do I do if I don’t receive the text?
Please get in touch with your child’s school office so we can confirm that your cell number is correct in Infinite Campus.
Alerts = urgent texts (cancellations/critical notices) sent to the cell number in Infinite Campus—no app required.
Rooms = teacher/building announcements and two-way messages inside the FSD App.
What if I need to receive the school cancellations/urgent messages, but I'm not a parent of a child in the FSD? Download the FSD App and enable push notifications for urgent messages and school cancellations.
