As the Superintendent of Farmington R-7 School District, Dr. Jeri Kay Hardy brings a wealth of experience and a profound dedication to education. Originally from rural Southeast Missouri, Dr. Hardy previously served as Superintendent of the Gasconade County R-II School District and brings 24 years of experience in education. Her career has included roles as a Parents as Teachers educator, elementary teacher, literacy coach, district data coordinator, assistant principal, and high school principal before moving into district leadership.

Dr. Hardy earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Missouri and previously served as Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment in Gasconade County R-II before becoming superintendent in 2021. She has been recognized with the Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals Emerging Principal of the Year (Southeast District) and the South Central Emerging Superintendent of the Year awards.

Dr. Hardy began her tenure as Superintendent of the Farmington School District on July 1, 2026 and her initial priorities will include building relationships, maintaining strong academic achievement for all students, and focusing on responsible budget planning.

Dr. Hardy and her husband, Rick, have been married for 31 years and have two adult children and five grandchildren.
