🌟 Honoring the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. 🌟
Today, we reflect on the life and work of Dr. King, whose dream of equality, justice, and unity continues to inspire us all.
Farmington R-7 strives to uphold these values in our schools and community daily. Let’s work together to build a brighter future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

We will resume regular bus routes on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.
While we won't take students outside for recess in frigid temperatures, emergencies requiring outdoor time can happen unexpectedly. Please ensure your student is dressed warmly during these cold days. If your student needs a coat or assistance with winter gear, don't hesitate to contact your building office and ask for the social worker.

The Farmington R-7 School District will not be in session on Monday, January 20, 2025, in honor of Martin Luther King Day.

Due to continued poor road conditions, the Farmington R-7 School District will remain closed on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. Despite the hard work of our crews and city crews, the lingering ice and low temperatures continue to make many outer roads and side streets unsafe for travel. If conditions improve and we can return to school on Wednesday, we may need to adjust some bus routes and utilize alternative pick-up spots. Details about these changes will be communicated tomorrow to help families prepare. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we prioritize the safety of our students and staff. Stay safe, Knights!

Although our crews have been hard at work clearing parking lots today, the Farmington R-7 School District will unfortunately remain closed tomorrow, Monday, January 13, 2025. While progress has been made, many roads are still not in the best condition, and tonight's low temperatures are expected to cause a refreeze, creating additional safety concerns. We understand the challenges of students being out of school and want to assure our families that we are making every effort to return to a regular schedule. However, the safety of our students and staff remains our highest priority.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Stay safe and warm, Knights!
