📚 Spring 2025 Title Evaluation Meeting: Supporting Every Student, Together 📚
This week, staff, students, and families gathered for the Farmington R-7 School District’s annual Title Evaluation Meeting—a collaborative evening focused on reviewing how our district uses federal Title I, II, and IV funds to strengthen instruction, promote equity, and improve academic outcomes for all learners.
💡 What are Title Programs and Why Do They Matter?
Title I funding supports schools with high percentages of students from economically challenged homes. It helps us fund academic materials, targeted instruction, and staffing for reading and math support, particularly for students who need extra help meeting state standards.
In Farmington, Title I supports our preschool program, ensuring young learners are ready to succeed from day one. Title II focuses on professional development and recruiting highly qualified educators, while Title IV helps us offer a well-rounded education and access to modern technology.
🔍 Digging into the Data
At the meeting, attendees worked through our district’s Comprehensive Needs Assessment, a process that helps us evaluate what’s working, where gaps exist, and how we can better meet the needs of students. We looked at academic data, feedback from stakeholders, and our schoolwide goals.
🎯 Why This Matters
Instruction supported by Title I looks different—because it is different. It’s individualized, focused on growth, and rooted in the belief that every child can succeed with the proper support. Whether students are learning the foundations of reading and math or tackling problem-solving and comprehension at higher levels, our goal is the same: to build confidence and promote success.
🙌 Thank You to Our Families
We’re especially thankful to the parents and students who joined the conversation. Your voices help shape our planning and ensure we continue to provide meaningful opportunities for every child.

🎉 Last night, we wrapped up our 2024–2025 New Knights class with a special celebration!
The New Knights program is a year-long commitment to support all new certified staff members during their first year in the Farmington R-7 School District. Through five class sessions, monthly classroom visits, and countless mentoring conversations, our new teachers gained essential skills in classroom management, student assessment, working with special services students, using technology effectively, and building strong relationships with families.
This program represents a major investment of time, energy, and care — and it’s just one way our district works to ensure every new educator has the tools they need to succeed. When we support our teachers well, we support our students even better.
We are incredibly proud of our New Knights and grateful to their mentors, instructional coaches, and guest speakers who dedicated much to making this journey possible. 🖤💛
Please join us in celebrating these outstanding educators and the teamwork that helps Farmington continue to grow stronger, together!
