Also Congratulations to Mrs. Shuburt's advisory for winning the March attendance challenge and winning ice cream. See you all Tuesday, April 7th when we return.
Ms. Whaley's Social Studies classes went on a walking field trip to Long Park. The students got to reflect and walk along the Trail of Tears as it runs through downtown Farmington. The classes stopped at Long Park, and discussed the significance of the local historical site for the Trail of Tears National Historic Trail. Students did a scavenger hunt to learn about the park and stopped at Columbia Street Mercantile for some ice cream! The local shop is always very supportive of our adventures and sweet treats to reward our students as well. Thank you Mercantile! Officer Helton kindly escorted us so we could have fun while being safe! #OneCommunity

Farmington Middle School is currently accepting new/gently used book donations for our "Totally Free Book Fair," which we will be having at our end-of-year Extravaganza in May. Now's the time to begin Spring cleaning and clear out your shelves, replacing books you've finished reading and would like to pass along.
This book fair will be free for students to get new-to-you books, unlike a book fair where families need to purchase books. We are accepting only appropriate materials for grades K-8.
High school - adult chapter books are not needed at this time, however we will accept cookbooks. You may drop off donations at the middle school. Donations must be in good to like-new condition.
Thank you! Any questions may be directed to the middle school librarian, Kate Dillon. kdillon@farmington.k12.mo.us
