It's Digital Citizenship Week this week, October 14th-18th.
1) Here at middle school in our Digital Literacy and Citizenship class students are debating the FMS Cell Phone policies to learn about digital citizenship. Students debated both sides of each claim and then tried to find "middle ground" for a policy that would satisfy everyone's opinions.

Week 7 9/30--10/4

Homecoming Assembly High Fives with Mr. Jenkerson. Dont miss the last one! :)

This rainy weekend sure is a great one to cozy up & read! At school students use our new Beanstack platform on their Chromebooks to set reading goals, set timers and read, and log books to stay motivated to read. Families, you could also choose to encourage your middle school student to continue developing good reading habits by allowing use of this app on their phones, too. (Phone App isnt necessary, just an additional tool.) Parents: no chat features, no games, no ads. Just a great app to log books, see what friends are reading and do library challenges.
"Seeing your monthly logs, seeing your reading streaks and competing with friends has even increased my OWN reading habits!" -Ms. Dillon, librarian
Our first monthly challenge ends Monday! Get in your reading time to reach the 180 minutes goal on your Bingo card for the of September Challenge by the end of this weekend. Ms. Dillon will have our first drawing for prizes from the challenge next week.

Finished up a good week. Enjoy the weekend.

Homecoming 2024 Update
Due to the forecast of a 100% chance of rain and 20 mph winds for Friday afternoon, we, unfortunately, need to adjust our Homecoming schedule of events to prioritize the safety of our students, staff, and community.
The coronation will be recorded by BKTV Studios and replayed during halftime of the football broadcast. You can access the game via the following link:
