*The Farmington vs. Jackson baseball game has been canceled due to the potential for storms this afternoon. We are working on a make-up date.
We will let you know of any other changes as soon
as that information becomes available.

📢 Clearing Up Confusion About Propositions F & S
✅ The $0.90 Debt Service Levy will remain in place, no matter the election outcome on April 8th. This levy was extended by voters in 2019, and bonds were issued through 2039.
* If Prop F passes, it funds new improvements with no rate increase to the levy. However, the rate would be extended to 2047.
* If Prop F fails, the levy will continue—it is used to pay off existing bonds and save on interest with early payments.
✅ The Operating Levy remains unchanged at $2.75 should voters not approve Prop S. This Levy supports day-to-day school operations and will not decrease.
📈 Keep in mind that your tax bill can still change based on assessed property values, which are determined by the county—not the school district.

🥚 People & Programs: Exploring Osmosis in 8th Grade Science 💧
Students in Ms. Katy Halley and Ms. Hannah Geile’s 8th grade science classes at FMS took a hands-on approach to understanding osmosis with an engaging lab experiment!
🔬 Using an egg as a model for a cell membrane, students:
✅ Placed eggs in different liquids overnight to observe water movement
✅ Measured changes in mass to analyze how osmosis affects cells
✅ Used their observations to explain how cell membranes regulate water flow
This experiment brought textbook concepts to life, helping students visualize how cellular processes impact living organisms!
