Don't forget that our next Board of Education meeting is on Tuesday, March 17th, at the Black Knight Fieldhouse. The meeting begins at 5:00 pm. We hope to see you there!

🌴 4 Days Until Wellness Day
Only four days until we ride the wellness wave.
After the morning campus activities, staff will head to Farmington High School for breakout sessions designed to strengthen mind, body, and professional well-being.
Sessions range from practical wellness strategies to creative outlets and movement sessions. For example, staff can learn time-saving technology strategies, stress-relief techniques, fitness activities, and mental wellness practices that support long-term health.
It’s about learning something new, connecting with colleagues, and taking time to invest in yourself.
Because strong schools start with healthy, supported educators. #WSCC #TheKnightWay

The day begins on your campus with team-based activities designed to build connection and momentum, then the wave rolls into Farmington High School, where nearly 50 vendors and health screeners will be ready to support your wellness journey.
From physical health to mental clarity to financial planning, this day is about equipping our staff with tools that help us stay strong for the students we serve.
Grab your board. We’re getting ready to Hang Ten together. 🌊#WSCC #TheKnightWay

Join us on Wednesday from 3:30-5:30 and on Thursday from 3:30–7:00 PM for a K–12 exhibit of student artwork from across the district.
The art teachers clearly had a little too much fun taking this photo… but when you spend your days surrounded by creativity, it tends to rub off!
If you are attending High School conferences, take a short walk over to the Field House and stop by the upper mezzanine to see the show.
We are excited to share the incredible talent of our students from across the district.
See you there! 🎨

They are not designed to fund ongoing expenses year after year.
Over the past three years, the district has reduced spending by approximately $2.1 million through attrition and responsible budget adjustments.
Those decisions allowed us to adjust pay scales, implement Career Ladder, launch Discovery Schools, improve facilities, and add key student programs.
The graphs show two paths:
• Continued reserve decline if nothing changes
• Stabilized reserves with continued fiscal discipline and long-term planning
Understanding how reserves work helps explain why districts look at long-term financial planning tools.

Greg brings nearly three decades of experience in broadcasting and athletic communications, along with deep ties to the Farmington community. Many in the region already know his voice from high school and college sports coverage across Missouri.
He looks forward to building strong relationships, highlighting student success across all buildings, and continuing clear, transparent communication with our families and community.
Please join us in welcoming Greg back to Farmington.

From early mornings to late afternoons, they make sure our buildings are clean, safe, warm, cool, and ready for students and staff every day. When something breaks, they fix it. When the weather causes problems, they respond. When an event is happening, they help make it possible.
Many of the things they do go unnoticed, but they are essential to the daily life of our schools.
Thank you to our Farmington R-7 maintenance employees for the pride you take in your work and the care you show for our buildings and our community. We appreciate everything you do to keep our schools running smoothly.

If you live in an area that typically experiences flooding, we encourage you to transport your child to school this morning if it is safe for you to do so, as buses may not be able to safely reach those locations.
Our transportation team will continue monitoring road conditions as daylight approaches and the rain tapers off. We will evaluate routes throughout the day and will implement our flood plan for afternoon routes if needed.
The safety of our students and staff is always our top priority. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through the changing road conditions this morning.
Updates will be shared if additional changes are necessary.

The school tax levy has two main components:
Debt Service – pays debt from past construction
Operating – supports daily school operations
Together, they equal the total tax rate.
Proposition Transfer would adjust the balance between these two funds, while keeping the total rate unchanged.
