Our PreK classes have officially said goodbye to our butterfly friends! It has been an incredible journey watching them move through each stage of metamorphosis.
The students were amazing scientists—observing every change with wonder and care. Releasing them into the wild was a beautiful moment of celebration and a perfect reminder of how much our own "little caterpillars" have grown this year! 🤩❤️#theknightway #bettertogether

Mrs. Whited’s preschoolers have had a blast exploring all things farm—driving tractors, collecting eggs, cooking and sorting produce in dramatic play, building farm scenes with blocks, sensory play with animals and tractors, and practicing fine motor and handwriting with farm-themed playdough and letters of the week. Mrs. Hayes’ students had a wonderful time exploring space through hands-on learning and imaginative play. In the dramatic play area, children transformed into astronauts as they worked together in their very own space station. At the sensory table, they enjoyed the “Catch a Star” activity, building fine motor skills. The class also created beautiful watercolor rocket ships. Last week it was an exciting week full of curiosity, teamwork, and discovery! 🚀🧑🚀🌟#theknightway
The Little Squires took advantage of the nice weather and had a fun water day Friday! ☀️ 💦 This isn’t just a fun activity but it works on so many skills.
Open-ended water play fosters imagination, encouraging children to create, explore, and solve problems. They had to use their social skills of taking turns and sharing the toys. It also enhances hand-eye coordination and strengthens small hand muscles through actions like squeezing sponges or squirting water. It helps them work on core strength and balance as well. 🤩#theknightway
