On Thursday, February 27th, the Farmington Middle School Band will be hosting the Mineral Area Middle School Band Festival at the Centene Center. This event is being sponsored by Ernie Williamson Music in Park Hills, MO. This event will feature bands from the middle schools in Farmington, North County, Kingston, Marquand-Zion, West County, Park Hills Central, Ste. Genevieve, and Fredericktown. Participating bands will receive a clinic during the day and share a concert in the evening, giving students a chance to hear the hard work of other middle school band students from the area. The evening concert is at 6:30p in the Centene Center. Admission is charged for this event; $3 for adults and $2 for senior citizens and children in grades K-12.

On Tuesday, March 4th fourteen band students from Farmington Middle School will be participating in the Mineral Area Junior High Activities Association (MAJHAA) All-Conference Honor Band. They will rehearse during the day at Park Hills Central High School and perform in a concert that evening at 7p. Admission is charged for this event; $3 for adults and $2 for senior citizens and children in grades K-12. They have research the construction behind different bridges and using Engineering Design Principles have come up with successful models of weight bearing bridges. The winning project (so far) pictured below has been able to hold 15 chromebooks!

The Farmington R-7 School District will be in session on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. However, several bus routes remain affected by the recent winter storm. Please review the attached document for our modified bus routes, which will be effective until road conditions improve. Please refer to the document daily. We will adjust the pm schedule tomorrow afternoon based on road conditions. We'd like to ask for your patience as our drivers navigate these adjusted routes. If you have any transportation questions, please call our office at (573) 701-1300 ext. 2014 We also want to remind families of the importance of students dressing appropriately for the weather.
