There will be no school today for the Farmington R-7 School District due to inclement weather. Please stay safe, stay warm, and enjoy the extra time at home. Snow Day #1

Today’s announcement features the first student-created Snow Day design from our Grades 5–12 Snow Day Design Challenge! We’ll be sharing the top student submissions each time school is canceled this winter, and we can’t wait for you to see the creativity our Knights have put into their artwork.

To make the morning a little brighter, we’re also sharing a few snapshots of student art projects from around the district. Our classrooms have been busy this semester, and this is a great chance to celebrate the talent of our students while you enjoy an unexpected day off.

Stay cozy, Knights, and we’ll see you soon!

Did you know your child is participating in Read to Feed and helping donate flocks of chickens to people in need for Heifer International by logging their minutes on Beanstack? Your student can get the Beanstack Tracker app and sign in with their school account on their phone or log minutes of reading at home on their Chromebook too! Heifer International gives away sustainable sources of food like chickens, pigs, cows, bees, water buffalo (yes water buffalo!) and more to people in need across America and the world. All your child has to do to participate is read and log minutes. 2000 minutes logged = one flock of chickens you sponsor. See details in the Beanstack App.

Here are some learning activities about Heifer International your child can also do to earn tickets in Beanstack for prizes from our Beanstack Room. https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1L8p3fJpFmeL2u4t-rnOFH1Cv483Z48RedpS2QCZ-YTg/edit?usp=drive_link

🎉 Congratulations to Farmington Middle School! 🎉
Our October District Beanstack Reader Leader Winners logged an incredible 345 minutes of reading per student on average!

Special shoutout to Ms. Skuta, the teacher with the most reading minutes. She led the way, logging over 2,700 minutes this school year! 👏

A great way to show that Knights love to read! Let’s keep that momentum going! Keep logging those minutes and inspiring others to open a good book. 💛🖤 #Ignite #BKP #TheKnightWay

HOCO Spirit Days

Great things were happening at Farmington Middle School this week!

From building vocabulary and strengthening inferencing skills to exploring convection currents and diving into the engineering & design process, our students were actively engaged in hands-on learning.

Whether it’s studying relations and functions in math, preparing social studies presentations, or sharpening reading and writing skills, FMS is buzzing with curiosity and growth!

We’re proud of our Knights for putting in the effort every day. Keep up the great work! 🖤💛 #TheKnightWay #Ignite
