On March 11th, 3 students from FHS- Maya McKenney, Ava Gillespie, and Sarah Leach all attended American Foundation for Suicide Prevention- National Advocacy Day at the State Capitol. We were able to meet Representative Dale Wright and advocate for house bills that support 988 Suicide and Crisis Line. We were introduced on the House floor and were able to sit and watch legislature being discussed and voted on. The high school students who attended are leaders of the high school's Youth Mental Health Coalition.
So great seeing such a big crowd at our Counseling Advisory meeting. Thanks to all of our counselors for all you do for our students !!
