Dr. Jamie LaMonds

Principal

Dr. Jamie LaMonds received her Associate's degree from Mineral Area College. She then transferred to Southeast Missouri State University where she continued her education. Dr. LaMonds received her bachelor’s degree from SEMO, majoring in secondary education. She continued her education by earning a Master’s in Secondary Administration from SEMO and ultimately obtained her doctoral degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from Mizzou. Dr. LaMonds is in her 26th year in education. She started her career at FHS in 1998 as an ELA teacher while coaching cheerleading, sponsoring Student Council and starting the first ever Scholar Bowl Team. Dr. LaMond's next career move was to accept the position of Dean of Students in the fall of 2004. She continued to teach while transitioning into administration focusing on discipline and attendance. She did this for nine years and then became Assistant Principal in 2013. She served as interim high school principal in 2018 and was announced as the first ever female principal of FHS in the spring of 2019 and currently still serves in this position.

Mr. Roy Northern

Assistant Principal

Roy Northern is in his 25th year of education and has worked for Farmington R-7 as assistant principal at Farmington High School for eleven years, and Director of Online Learning for the current school year. He has received a bachelor's degree in secondary social studies education, a master's degree in administration, and a specialist degree in administration all from Southeast Missouri State University. Roy worked as a history teacher at Perryville High School for one year to begin his career, and then taught history at Jackson High School for thirteen years prior to moving to Farmington High School as an assistant principal.

Mr. Derrick Eaves

Assistant Principal

Mr. Derrick Eaves, a Farmington High School alumnus, has 24 years of experience in education. He taught math for fourteen years and physical education for four years at FHS, where he also coached basketball, football, and track, earning recognition as a three-time Dream Team Boys Track Coach of the Year. He later served as assistant principal and athletic director at Fredericktown High School for six years.
