Congratulations to our staff members who were randomly selected in October’s Fight the Phish campaign. Each month, employees complete a cybersecurity training module that helps protect our district from online threats and keeps our systems secure.

A big shout-out to this month’s winners! Thanks for staying alert and helping keep Farmington safe.

Last Thursday, more than 30 educators, administrators, and early childhood partners from across the Farmington community gathered at Truman Learning Center for our Early Learning Committee meeting. This group brings together FSD staff and local preschool and early learning providers who share a common goal, giving our youngest learners the strongest start possible.

Participants revisited the “why” behind this work, explored early learning practices in Farmington R-7, and spent time inside Pre-K classrooms observing Morning Meeting routines, Small Group Circle Time, and hands-on Learning Stations led by Mrs. Bono, Dr. Chrisco, and Mrs. Miller.

The evening wrapped up with shared reflections and next steps as we continue building a collaborative approach to high-quality early learning across our district and community.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to attend, engage, and invest in our future Knights. Strong schools grow from strong beginnings, and we’re grateful for the partnership that makes this work possible. #CommunityConnectedness #TheKnightWay #BKP #Ignite

Class of 1953 Donation

A beautiful act of generosity from one of our own.
Mary Roberts, Farmington High School Class of 1953, stopped by to deliver a donation of $354.59 to the CTA Cares Backpack Program.

Mary shared that as her classmates have grown older and gatherings have become fewer, they wanted the remaining funds in their class account to go toward something meaningful. They chose to support our students.

What an incredible legacy of kindness from the Class of ’53.
Thank you, Mary, for continuing to care for the next generation of Knights. 💛🖤#TheKnightWay #BKP #CommunityConnectedness

Our teachers wrapped up their second session of Math Academy this week, and we couldn’t be prouder of the work they’re doing. This professional learning helps them grow, connect, and bring new strategies back to their classrooms so students get the very best every day.

Today’s session was all about collaboration and hands-on practice, and you could feel the excitement in the room. Our staff showed up eager to learn, share ideas, and support one another, which is exactly what makes Farmington special.

Thank you to our educators for the time and heart you invest in your craft. Your commitment directly impacts our students, families, and community, and we appreciate you.

Faces of Farmington!
Cindy Lacy is a Lunch Aide at Jefferson Elementary, bringing a big heart and quiet strength to the cafeteria every day. Though she moved around a lot growing up, Cindy now calls Farmington home, and we’re so glad she does!

Before joining the district, Cindy spent over 20 years homeschooling her own children, an experience she says gave her a deep appreciation for learning and connection. She’s also a thrill-seeker at heart—when she turned 50, she celebrated by going skydiving! 🪂

These days, she loves hiking, camping, and visiting Silver Dollar City during the holidays. Her dream trip? Glacier National Park.

Cindy says the most rewarding part of her job is hearing a child say “thank you” or being told she’s their favorite lunch lady—especially because she knows all their names. “We may get overlooked sometimes, but we put a lot of love into feeding these kids,” she shares.

Thank you, Cindy, for being a kind, steady presence in our schools!
