🌱🌼 Thank You, Twenty-Five Gardeners! 🌼🌱
We are incredibly grateful to the Twenty-Five Gardeners garden club for awarding Amanda Kuhlman from Dayse Baker Learning Center a $500 grant! This generous support will help Amanda continue the important work in the school’s Community Garden, expanding opportunities for students to learn, grow, and thrive through hands-on gardening experiences. 🌿👩🌾
This summer, Mrs. Kuhlman’s students have embraced the benefits of gardening, from learning about healthy eating and environmental stewardship to discovering how growing their food can improve their [physical and mental health. Thanks to the Twenty-Five Gardeners' donation, they will soon see even more growth—both in the garden and their personal development.
Here's to nurturing future gardeners and lifelong skills! 🌻💚 #CommunityGarden #GrowingTogether #DayseBakerLearningCenter #ThankYou #StrongSchools #StrongCommunity

A huge THANK YOU to the Lowe's Heroes and their amazing team for helping Roosevelt Elementary bring a vision to life! Thanks to the Lowe's Hero Project grant, we are transforming our library makerspace into an outdoor classroom with native beds and sensory gardens. This new space will provide endless hands-on learning opportunities for our students to explore nature and connect with their curriculum in meaningful ways. 🌱🌻
A special shoutout to Mrs. Counts, a 2nd-grade teacher at Roosevelt, for her dedication to securing this grant and leading the charge for our students. We can't wait to see how this project grows and impacts our school community!

It's Wellness Wednesday! Did you know that the FSD has a fantastic health and human services team comprising nurses, counselors, physical education teachers, social workers, our safety director, and school resource officers?
Our Health and Human Services team gathered on October 11th for a full day of professional development focused on enhancing the safety and well-being of our school community. The day was centered on strengthening wraparound services to support safe behaviors and address mental health needs.
Dr. Moniz joined our nurses for an insightful session while our substitutes received crucial safety training. Our Director of Safety also engaged in professional development led by a cybersecurity expert to safeguard our students and staff further.
The team also debriefed a recent incident, discussing systems and supports in place, identifying areas of success, and strategizing on continued improvement. This collaborative day reinforced our commitment to ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all. #SafeandHealthySchools #StrongerTogether #ProfessionalDevelopment #StrongSchools #StrongCommunity
