Congratulations to the Class of 2025!

🎉 Honoring the Retirement of Brian Rigdon 🎉
After 25 years in education and 19 years with Farmington School District, Mr. Rigdon is saying farewell. As a Special Services Teacher, Brian worked across Lincoln Intermediate, Middle School, and the Alternative School—always with the goal of supporting students in their unique learning journeys.
Known for his caring approach, sense of humor, and belief in second chances, he created classrooms where students could grow, make mistakes, and feel safe doing so. His presence has impacted not only students but also future teachers and families who now call FSD home.
Brian, thank you for your patience, wisdom, and unwavering belief in every learner. Your legacy will carry on in the lives you’ve touched.
💛 Once a Knight, always a Knight!

🎉 Celebrating the Retirement of Kim Berry🎉
After 31 years in education and 13 years with the Farmington School District, Principal Kim Berry is retiring from Truman Learning Center. Kim’s career has been a beautiful example of leadership, heart, and commitment to early childhood education. From her first day, her focus has always been on what’s best for kids—building strong foundations, empowering teachers, and partnering with families.
Her work helped shape Truman into a place where students feel loved, staff feel supported, and every child is set up for success. Thank you, Kim, for pouring your heart into this district. You’ve made a lasting difference.

Each year, the Foundation supports the future of our Black Knight scholars by awarding scholarships made possible through the generosity of donors who believe in the power of education. Their mission? To enhance learning opportunities by funding projects and scholarships beyond the traditional classroom.
We are so grateful for the Foundation's continued support and our community partners. 💛🖤 To learn more or get involved, visit:

🧠💚 Mental Health Matters!
In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, students from Farmington High School’s Youth Mental Health Coalition and Dayse Baker’s PACE program participated in Mental Health First Aid training.
This valuable training, led by Whitney Shumway and Brandon Tucker with the St. Francois County Community Partnership, gave students the tools to recognize and respond to mental health challenges in themselves and others.
We’re proud of these young leaders for stepping up to support mental wellness in our schools and beyond. 💛🖤
