Mrs. Whited’s preschool class had an exciting, fun-filled week! Students explored camping, learned all about dinosaurs, and discovered fascinating insects in science. 🦖⛺️🦋 They dug into hands-on learning by examining bones and creating fossil molds in sensory play, investigating insects in science, counting dinosaurs in math, building dinosaur parks in the block center, and enjoying a camping adventure in dramatic play. So much learning and fun packed into one amazing week! 🤩 #theknightway #onecommunity

💳📚 Make Book Fair Shopping Easy & Meaningful! 📚💳

As we get ready for our upcoming Scholastic Book Fair (April 13th–17th), we encourage families to set up a Scholastic eWallet for a safe, cash-free way for students to shop! It’s simple to create and ensures your child can easily purchase their favorite books. 🎉

We also invite you to consider donating to help students who may not be able to bring money to the Book Fair. Your generosity can help every child experience the joy of choosing a book of their own. 💙

Over the past few weeks Mrs. Miller's preschoolers learned about different types of transportation and they have had a blast- literally and figuratively! They could change oil in a truck or launch rockets to Mars before snack time. These little astronauts even watched NASA’s Artemis II launch. Dramatic play is the “engine room” of early childhood development. 🚀🪐👨‍🚀 #theknightway

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Truman Learning Center for our Early Learning Committee meeting.

A special thank you to Assistant Superintendent Shana Turner for leading this important work to bring our preschools and early childhood groups together.

At Farmington R-7, we believe early learning is essential to ensuring children have a strong foundation for both academic and personal success. By bringing together educators, administrators, parents, and community members, this committee is helping strengthen early childhood programs, align learning experiences, and support the professionals who serve our youngest learners.

This collaborative approach creates a supportive environment where children can grow, thrive, and build the skills they need for future success.

We appreciate the time, insight, and commitment of everyone involved in this important work.

Beanstack Update: WHAT AMAZING READERS WE HAVE AT TRUMAN! As a school, we have logged almost 70,000 minutes since January! We are on track to reaching our school goal of 120,000 and having a fun end of year celebration! Great job TLC! Each month we have a new reading challenge. We already have 11 students that have completed over 300 minutes logged in Beanstack! They have earned extra library station time and a visit to the treasure box. Great job!! We also have 23 students who are more than half way to their goal!! With almost two more weeks of reading this month, I expect they will complete the March challenge soon as well. Think of all the books you can read during spring break! What amazing readers we have. I’m so proud of the scholars here at TLC. HAPPY READING!!
