Two Farmington Knights surprised their former elementary teachers with jerseys to wear at tonight’s game as a special way to honor the dedication, commitment, and impact they’ve had on their education. 🏈

🏈 FRIENDLY RIVALRY FOR A GREAT CAUSE!
The Farmington and Central school districts are teaming up for Cover the Cruiser, a friendly competition to take place on Friday, October 23 when Central hosts Farmington in the regular season finale football game! The fundraiser will benefit each school district's weekend backpack and student food assistance programs and help make sure no student goes hungry on the weekends! 🎒🍎
Donations will be collected during the week leading up to the game and at the stadium through halftime. For as little as $1, students, families, staff, and community members can buy a custom sticker, write their name on it, and stick it directly on a police cruiser! The goal is to completely cover the cruiser with stickers while raising critical funds for local kids! 🚓
One Central cruiser and one Farmington cruiser will be parked near the field so you can watch the stickers pile up all night. At halftime, we’ll announce which district raised the most money and earns the title of Cover the Cruiser Champion! 🏆
100% of the funds raised by each district stay with that district to support its own students and families in need. Let’s show up, fill those cruisers, and support our families in need!

Brain vs. Vocabulary! 🧠💥
We challenged ourselves in Mrs. Garcilaso's class to see just how many words we could come up with using different prefixes and suffixes.
Let’s just say things got very competitive, unpredictable, and supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. 😅
It turns out your brain holds a lot more words than you think once you start breaking them down!
Mrs. Felker's Third Graders worked together in groups to compare relationships in stories, how those characters interacted, and how those relationships changed by the end of the story. They created pumpkin charts outlining the different developments, which hung on the walls and door. Students then took a Gallery Walk around the room to observe each group’s work. Awesome, engaging learning!!

Ms. Rehkop's Third Graders collaborated today as they identified character relationships and how they change. Students read a pumpkin patch story and created a pumpkin graph analyzing the characters. They finished with a “gallery walk” to view everyone’s projects. Amazing, engaging learning!!
