Jefferson explored the stars today at Field Day with the Challenger Center Planetarium! We traveled through time and space to learn about cardinal directions, constellations, and the rotation of the earth. š š āļø

Did you know music education significantly boosts academic performance by strengthening cognitive functions like working memory, executive control, and abstract reasoning? Jefferson Field Day will be held Wednesday, May 20. First and Second Grade Classes will rotate through activities in morning, and Third and Fourth Grade Classes will go in the afternoon. Jefferson Student Ambassadors celebrated the end of a wonderful year of service with a picnic and Kids vs. Parents games. These students have taken an active leadership role in the school and community in the following ways: monitoring hallways, collecting mail, creating video announcements, serving Veterans breakfast, ringing the bell for United Way, caroling downtown, working the school store, creating gifts for Teacher Appreciation Week, and being model ambassadors to all students. Jefferson is proud of them and their strong character. šš¤

Jefferson Elementary Readers exceeded their Beanstack Community Goal and celebrated with a Popsicle Picnic! Popsicles and games in the library made for a fun afternoon! Their goal was 300,000 minutes and so far they have logged 327,552 minutes! Keep reading all summer!!
