We are celebrating School Social Worker Week here at Dayse Baker! Here are what students and staff have to say about our very own Dr. Julie Downs.
Student 1: Dr. Downs believes in me and helped me gain employment. She cares that I know I have purpose.
Student 2: Dr. Downs is nice and no matter what I do she is still nice to me.
Student 3: My favorite day of the week is when Dr. Downs gets us for group. I feel like I belong and Dr. Downs encourages us to support and help one another.
Teacher 1: Dr. Downs provides student and teacher support daily. If I need to brainstorm on ideas to help support a student she always makes herself available. She goes over and beyond to get needed supports put into place for student and teacher success!
Teacher 2: Dr. Downs is an invaluable part of our school community. The care and dedication she brings to our students through therapy work makes a lasting impact. Dr. Down's goes above and beyond to support our students emotionally and academically. We are lucky to have her as part of our team.

Due to continued poor road conditions, the Farmington R-7 School District will remain closed on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. Despite the hard work of our crews and city crews, the lingering ice and low temperatures continue to make many outer roads and side streets unsafe for travel. If conditions improve and we can return to school on Wednesday, we may need to adjust some bus routes and utilize alternative pick-up spots. Details about these changes will be communicated tomorrow to help families prepare. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we prioritize the safety of our students and staff. Stay safe, Knights!

Although our crews have been hard at work clearing parking lots today, the Farmington R-7 School District will unfortunately remain closed tomorrow, Monday, January 13, 2025. While progress has been made, many roads are still not in the best condition, and tonight's low temperatures are expected to cause a refreeze, creating additional safety concerns. We understand the challenges of students being out of school and want to assure our families that we are making every effort to return to a regular schedule. However, the safety of our students and staff remains our highest priority. Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Stay safe and warm, Knights!

Due to continued icy road conditions and predicted inclement weather overnight and into the morning, the Farmington R-7 School District will not be in session on Friday, January 10, 2025. Snow Day #4

Due to road conditions, there is no school for the Farmington R-7 School District on Thursday, January 9, 2025. Snow Day #3
