Why a Superintendent Search Is Underway
Leadership transitions are a normal part of school governance.
Following Dr. Gibbs’ acceptance of a superintendent position with Northwest R-I School District, the Farmington R-7 Board of Education initiated a search for the district’s next superintendent. The Board’s responsibility is to lead a thoughtful, structured process that supports long-term stability for students, staff, and the community.
Search Support and Community Input
To support a transparent and thorough process, the Board of Education has engaged the Missouri School Boards Association (MSBA) to assist with the superintendent search.
MSBA provides guidance throughout the process, including developing a leadership profile, managing applications, supporting interviews, and assisting with final selection.
As part of this process, MSBA has developed a community input survey to gather feedback from parents, staff, and community members. Survey results will help inform the leadership profile used during the search.
