Look at this 2nd grade class working on engineering their own boat! ⛵️ They had to create a boat, with supplies provided, that could float for at least 10 seconds. 🌊
After trying out their boats each group was able to redesign their boat to make it float better. 🚤
Math is always better in fresh air! ☀️📚
Some of our students took their learning outside today to build addition and subtraction fluency using chalk. Finding fun, hands-on ways to master those core math skills makes practice feel like play! 🌿✏️
How do your kids love to practice math at home? Let us know in the comments! 👇
💛🖤 What a day!🖤💛 We had so much going on!FUN was had by all! Have a great weekend Wash/Frank families!!💛🖤
Today is National Custodian Appreciation Day. Let's take a moment to honor the hard work of our custodial staff. Thank you Mrs. Ellen, Mr. Seth and Mr. David for all you do for us at Washington/Franklin!!!
Happy #NationalCustodiansDay to the incredible custodial team across the Farmington School District!🧹✨
From early morning preps to late-night event cleanups, our custodial team works tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our classrooms, hallways, and facilities clean, safe, and welcoming for our students and staff every single day.
Their hard work doesn't just keep our schools shining, it builds a better environment for learning and growing.
Thank you for keeping our schools clean, safe, and ready for learning every single day. Next time you see one of our custodial staff members in the halls, be sure to give them a high five or a warm "thank you!"🙌👊

Hands-on learning at its finest! 📚 Our future engineers took on the ultimate STEM challenge: designing a sketch on paper and bringing it to life with a structure strong enough to hold up a book.
From pencil drawings to freestanding towers, seeing their problem-solving skills and creativity in action was incredible. Little engineers in the making! 💡✨
Things were wacky on this sock day! So creative and crazy! Good job kiddos.

Homecoming Week is here!!
Reminder of our Spirit Days this week! Participation is not required.
There is no school for nearly all students today, so enjoy your well-deserved day off!
The PM Pre-K WILL be in session today though.
Meanwhile, our staff is spending the day engaging in professional development to enhance learning for our students.
Just a friendly reminder today is our first monthly after school club day. If your child was accepted to a club for this semester a letter was sent home last week. Club pick up will promptly begin at 4:15 at the main front entrance. Parents will need their ID and Kid Account card. Parents may wait outside under the front entrance awning.
