☀️🏆 Yesterday was a whole mood! 🏆☀️

Who says summer school can't be all fun and games? Yesterday, our amazing students took a break from the classrooms and absolutely crushed Field Day!

Seeing these kids cheer each other on, try their best, and just enjoy being kids was the absolute best part of our week. Huge shoutout to our teachers who made the day a success, and a massive round of applause for our students who brought the hustle and the smiles! 👏

🎨 Creativity is buzzing in the art studio! 🐝✨

As summer school wraps up today for K-8, our talented 5th and 6th graders have been hard at work this week, diving into some seriously cool hands-on projects. We are so proud of their focus and imagination!

Here’s a sneak peek at what they’ve been mastering:

Bumblebee Flower Pots: 🐝
After putting the finishing touches on their textured bee planters, they got a little messy today filling them with dirt! They’re perfectly sized to hold a little spring bloom! 🌸

Hand-Woven Kumihimo bracelets:🧵
Combining patience and vibrant color palettes, they’ve been learning intricate weaving techniques to create beautiful, wearable art.

Swipe through to see our young artists in action and check out their finished masterpieces! 📸👇

🏡✨ History in our own backyard! ✨🏡

Today, our history books came to life as the 4th-grade class took a step back in time to visit some of the beautiful historic houses right here in the Farmington area including the McCormick House and the Morrison House!

From exploring colonial architecture to learning what daily life looked like hundreds of years ago, our students became real-life history detectives. They asked thoughtful questions, got a firsthand look at local heritage, and represented our school beautifully.

A huge thank you Mayor Morrison and family for allowing us to tour your home and to the amazing volunteers who welcomed us.

Take a look at a few moments from our historic adventure! 👇📸

☀️ ☀️ ANOTHER BUSY DAY OF FIELD TRIPS! ☀️

Our amazing summer school crew traded the classroom for the ultimate Farmington adventure today! We packed in a full day of learning, teamwork, and a whole lot of splashing.

Here is how our epic day went down:

  • 📚 Farmington Public Library: Shhh... 🤫 actually, scratch that. Things are about to get LOUD! Our 5th and 6th graders got a lot more than just a quiet day of reading as the library was transformed into a massive, live-action Escape Room! 🕵️‍♂️📚Our students cracked codes, solved riddles, and used some serious teamwork to try and escape! They also had a crafting session and another group area where they learned all about how the library functions. Huge shoutout to Travis and the incredible team at the Farmington Public Library for creating such an immersive, hands-on learning experience.

  • 🚒 Farmington Firehouse: A massive thank you to our local firefighters! The 4th graders got an exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour at the Firehouse today as they checked out the trucks, their gear and learned all about fire safety from our hometown heroes.

  • 💦 Farmington Water Park: Our 2nd graders got a chance to beat the early summer heat with a trip to the Farmington Water Park! From the slides to the lazy river, there were smiles and splashes all around.

Check out some of the highlights from our day and stay tuned to see where we go next! 👇📸

Congratulations to Ricky our Student of the Month!

During our recent March Madness tournament, Ricky showed us all what it means to be a Knight. While his skills on the court are impressive, it was his leadership and heart that caught everyone’s attention.

Thank you for leading by example and showing us that sportsmanship is just as important as the final score. We are so proud to have you representing our school!

Mr. Wiebe’s 5th graders stepped back in time for a Cold War Escape Room! To successfully complete the mission, students had to work together to crack 5 complex challenges, using logic, teamwork, and their knowledge of history to decode the final answer. Way to go Mr. Wiebe's class!

Today, we gathered for a special lunch to celebrate our incredible staff members who are embarking on their next great adventure: retirement! While it's hard to imagine our hallways without their familiar faces, we are so grateful for the decades of dedication, mentorship, and heart they’ve poured into our students and school community. Congratulations to Mrs. Helms, Mrs. O'Sullivan, Mr. Sancegraw, Mrs. Hancock, and Mrs. Ross!
