After 26 years in education, including over a decade at Farmington, Barbara Duncan is retiring from her role as FHS RISE Facilitator. Whether working in ISS or RISE, Barbara has always advocated for students, meeting each one with compassion, fairness, and care.
She’s also quietly mentored new teachers behind the scenes, helping them find their footing and feel at home in our district. Her legacy is one of kindness, support, and seeing the potential in every person.
Thank you, Barbara, for showing us what it means to lead with heart. Your impact will be felt long after you’ve left the classroom.

🎓 Honoring the Retirement of Mr. Brian Reeves 🎓
After 27 years in public education—and 25 of them at Farmington High School—we are proud to celebrate the retirement of Brian Reeves. Throughout his time at FHS, Mr. Reeves wore many hats: Social Studies teacher, coach, coordinator, committee member, mentor, and advocate.
From launching dual credit and internship opportunities to leading academic competitions like Scholar Bowl and the Missouri Bar Show Me the Constitution, his legacy is one of building pathways for student success and celebrating the power of the humanities.
Dr. Reeves, thank you for your vision, leadership, and love for learning. Your work will continue to shape the lives of students long after the final bell rings. Best wishes as you begin this exciting next chapter!

Today, we honor a true legend—Glenda Thurston is retiring after 45 years of dedicated service in the FHS cafeteria! From cook to manager, Glenda has fed generations of Knights with pride, purpose, and a whole lot of heart.
Her leadership has helped shape a welcoming work environment where hard work and faith are the foundation. She set the bar high and led by example, inspiring the next generation of workers with her guidance and joy.

After 29 incredible years at Farmington High School, we wish Michael Lamb a happy retirement! Whether in the art room or on the field and court as a coach, Lambo brought creativity, energy, and kindness to everything he did.
He taught students the value of self-expression, discipline, and compassion—lessons that extend far beyond the classroom or playing field. His calm presence and ability to connect with students will be deeply missed.
