Principal

Mrs. Heather Weiss is the Principal of Washington-Franklin Elementary. She is in her third year of administration, having previously served as Dean of Students at the Truman Learning Center and Jefferson Elementary before becoming the principal of Washington-Franklin in 2023. Before her leadership roles, she spent 18 years teaching kindergarten and first grade, beginning her career at Fredericktown Elementary before moving to Farmington. A graduate of Farmington High School, Mrs. Weiss earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from Southeast Missouri State University. She is dedicated to creating a supportive learning environment that helps all students reach their goals.

Elementary Dean of Students

Mrs. Jennifer Menteer began her educational journey 16 years ago at Farmington R7, where she taught pre-kindergarten. Since then, she has also taught kindergarten, 1st grade, 6th grad,e and most recently acquired a new role as Dean of Students at Jefferson Elementary and Roosevelt Elementary. Mrs. Menteer received her Associate of Arts degree from Mineral Area College, her Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Central Methodist University, and her Master's degree in Educational Administration from Missouri Baptist University. Mrs. Menteer takes pride in building relationships with staff and students, while also supporting their needs and celebrating their successes.
