I am excited to introduce myself as your 3rd grade teacher! This will be my third year teaching at Roosevelt Elementary School and my fourth year teaching 3rd grade. As your teacher, I can’t wait to support you and watch you grow in and outside of the classroom. We are going to have a great year!
I wanted to share a little about me! I grew up in Festus, Missouri and recently moved to Farmington, Missouri. I received my bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Missouri Baptist University. In my free time, I love shopping, spending time with my family, and playing with my puppy named Journey!
Additionally, I want to share my enthusiasm and provide you with some information about the fantastic experience we'll share together this year. I know after the end of last school year, we are all facing unknowns in the days and weeks to come.
Whether we are learning together remotely or we are sharing space in our classroom, I am thrilled that you are part of this community of learners and am excited to spend many productive days together! Here are a few things I'd like you to know:
It is normal to feel a mix of emotions at the start of a new school year. Many students feel excited, nervous, worried, and anxious. Remember that we are in this together and you are not alone!
I care deeply about each and everyone of my students. If you ever feel like you need something from me... help on your work, a listening ear, or guidance on how to handle a problem, please let me know. I am here for you!
We will face challenges, successes, frustrations, and joys together this year. Through it all, I will help you reach for your dreams, encourage you to achieve more than you ever thought you could, and inspire you to be the best possible version of yourself.
I am passionate about teaching and can't wait to watch you discover, develop, and nurture your own interests and passions.
Thank you in advance for giving me your best and for believing in me as your teacher. I am prepared to support you in every way possible on the days that we are learning together virtually and/or in our classroom!
