Conscious Discipline

Conscious Discipline emphasizes connection through empathy, encouragement, the School Family, the Brain Smart Start, and more. Once children are connected, they are more willing to see from another's point of view and understand the impact of their behavior on others.

The School Family builds connections between families and schools, teachers and teachers, teachers and students, and students and students to ensure the optimal development of all. The School Family is created through routines, rituals, and structures. Students develop intrinsic motivation, helpfulness, problem-solving, and connection.

Farmington staff members continue to receive professional development on these practices as we progress with this initiative.
